Green Initiatives
There are a number of recognized criteria for determining the greenness of products. Fierst Distributing Company has built our business by distributing products from domestic manufacturers who responsibly manage their companies. For example, we believe that responsibly harvested ash lumber milled and finished with a no VOC coating in a plant within 500 miles of Pittsburgh has a lower impact on the environment than products shipped half way around the world.
